Everyday Life and Community
Community access in Darwin.
Get out and about with support — connect with people, join in, and do more of what you love across Darwin.
What it is, in plain English.
Assistance with community access is an NDIS support that helps you take part in community life — outings, events, groups, sport, classes or simply your favourite café — with a support worker alongside.
It's your community, your way: you pick what you do, and we support you to build the confidence and connections to do more of it.
Who it may suit
- There's more out there you want to be part of.
- You want to join a group, team or class and would like support to get started.
- You're building confidence getting around Darwin on your own terms.
- You want to make — and keep — friendships and connections in your community.
What EPNT can provide.
- outings, events and activities you pick
- support to join groups, sport or classes
- building confidence getting around
- making and keeping connections
What's not included — or depends on your plan
- Everyday costs like tickets, entry fees or meals are not part of the support itself — we will always be upfront about what your plan can and cannot cover.
- How many hours of community access you can have depends on your NDIS plan funding.
- Community access is about taking part with support — it is not a transport-only service or a holiday program.
Where it operates

Questions people ask us.
Almost anything your community offers — outings, events and activities you pick. Markets, sport, art, music, fishing, a men's or women's group, or just a regular café morning. Tell us what you love and we will start there.
Both are possible — it depends on your goals and what your plan funds. Some people start one-to-one and join groups as their confidence grows. We will talk it through with you.
That depends on your NDIS plan and your goals. Some people head out weekly; others build up gradually. We will help you make a plan that fits.
Yes — we match you with workers who suit you, and we do our best to keep faces familiar so you can build real trust and get the most from your time out.
