Home and Living
Supported Independent Living in Darwin.
Daily support in one of our homes — or yours — so you can live safely, build routines and grow your independence, with the right people around you.
What it is, in plain English.
Supported Independent Living — SIL — is an NDIS support that funds help with everyday tasks in your home: things like personal care, cooking, cleaning and keeping a routine that works for you.
At EPNT, that support can happen in one of our welcoming homes in Lyons, Nakara, Muirhead or Palmerston, or in your own home across the Darwin region. The aim is always the same: a home that works for you, with backup you can trust.
Who it may suit
- You want your own place — with backup you can trust.
- You need daily or around-the-clock support to live safely at home.
- You're thinking about moving out of the family home, or out of hospital, into a place of your own.
- You want friendly, consistent workers who know you and your routines.
What EPNT can provide.
- help with daily routines and personal care
- cooking, cleaning and household skills
- support to build independence at your pace
- friendly, consistent workers
- homes in Lyons, Nakara, Muirhead and Palmerston
What's not included — or depends on your plan
- Rent, groceries, utilities and everyday personal costs are not part of SIL — they are ordinary day-to-day living costs.
- The level of support you can have — for example overnight support, or one-to-one versus shared support — depends on what is funded in your NDIS plan.
- SIL funding decisions are made by the NDIS. We can help you understand your plan, but no provider can promise a funding outcome.
Where it operates
We provide SIL across the Darwin region. EPNT homes are in Lyons, Nakara, Muirhead and Palmerston — real homes in real neighbourhoods, with room for family to visit.
Prefer to stay where you are? SIL support can also come to you in your own home, depending on your situation and your plan.
